Rowlett Rotary Club Flag Lease Program Renewal/Registration is Now Available
The Rowlett Rotary Club invites you to join us in a patriotic salute to America by supporting our FLAG LEASE PROGRAM!
The Rowlett Rotary Club extends an invitation to the community of Rowlett to join in displaying the American Flag during the five major holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day/9-11, and Veterans Day.
The display of flags is a chance for residents to show their patriotic spirit and love for our country, and it enables the Rowlett Rotary Club to offer charitable services to the citizens of our city and take part in global initiatives.
The Flag Lease Program, a Rowlett Rotary Club service initiative, supports various humanitarian efforts both locally and globally. The funds raised assist programs such as Sleeping Bags for the Homeless, VIPS, CERT, Rowlett Needy Children’s Association, Rotary Youth Leadership camps (RYLA and Camp Enterprise), Rowlett Student of the Month, Wheelchair Program, Toys for Tots, Rowlett Youth Athletic Association, International Stove Program, college scholarships for local high school seniors, Christmas Angel Tree, and Keep Rowlett Beautiful. Your participation in the 2024 Flag Lease Program makes these contributions possible.
Upon ordering a flag, a PVC sleeve will be installed in the ground near your front curb, with no attachments to your home. A 3' x 5' U.S. flag on a 10-foot pole will be placed in this sleeve on each holiday. The Rowlett Rotary Club takes care of the display, storage, and maintenance of the flags, which remain the club's property.
This year's schedule is:
- 1st Deployment (Memorial Day/Flag Day/4th of July): May 23rd - July 9th.
- 2nd Deployment (Labor Day/9-11): August 29th - September 13th.
- 3rd Deployment (Veteran's Day): November 7th - November 13th.
- 2nd Deployment (Labor Day/9-11): August 29th - September 13th.
- 3rd Deployment (Veteran's Day): November 7th - November 13th.
The Annual Flag Lease is only $50.00 for all five Holiday weekends: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day / 9-11, and Veterans Day. Cut off to have your flag placed on the first Deployment is Wednesday, May 23rd. If payment is received after May 23rd and before June 12th, your flag will be placed on June 13th. For any payment made after June 12th, a Rotarian will advise when your flag will be delivered.
